For so long, people waited for the debut album by Carminho, the voice that some call “the great hope of Fado”. Carminho grew up in the middle of Fado: daughter of fadista Teresa Siqueira, she made her first public performance at Coliseu de Lisboa, when she was only 12 years old and from then she sings regularly at Taverna do Embuçado, a fado club at Alfama.

After a  year travelling around the world, where she was involved in humanitarian causes at Índia, Cambodja, Peru andTimor, she returned to Portugal and to Fado, and now sings again at a Fado club in Lisbon.
