We are a group of people with a great passion for Fado and the portuguese culture in general. The origins of Fado are lost in time, but it's spirit is still alive and tells the strength and passion of life. Fado, is a unique and very peculiar expression of the portuguese music culture and, it is so important that is now Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, a title assigned by UNESCO. Portal do Fado is a website created to promote, disclose and explain Fado, and therefore converging all information about it: the singers, the records, fado houses and shows... exposing the opinions and viewpoints of the visitors, ask questions and guide discussions.
