On this CD we included two songs, “Neblina”, from the movie “Moulin Rouge” (1952) and “Quando a noite vem”, or “Limelight”, from the movie with the same by Charles Chaplin.

After a tournée in México, Amália triumphs at Hollywood, recording at New York her first LP with unpublished songs “Amália Rodrigues - Sings fados from Portugal y flamencos de España” (1954), a record title with some mistakes, since this kind of spanish songs are called “canción española” and not flamenco. Anyway, with this record she won the name of “cantora Ibérica” (Iberic singer).
